Our Approach

The career planning process can be divided in four steps. One might seek the services of a career development professional to help facilitate this process. Whether you choose to work with a professional, or work through the process on your own is less important than the thought and energy you put in it.

The first and maybe most important step is to gather information about oneself.

• Your personal Skills and Qualifications
• Your Interests and Values
• Preferred Environments
• Developmental Needs

The second step is to mark the possibilities:

• Explore the occupations in which you are interested
• Research the industries in which you would like to work
• Research the Labor Market

It is also importantt o gather more specified information such as:

• Further information about the firm, its history, structure, policy and its place on the market
• What is a typical work day like in the considered company
• Make contact with people who work there
• Determine your energy and enthusiasm for that career field

The third step is to evaluate the specified occupation, see how your skills fit in, and explore wide range of alternatives.

Finally, narrow the steps needed to reach the goal, for example:

• Invest in additional training and education, if needed
• Compose your resume and cover letter
• Prepare for job interviews
